Born and bred in North Queensland and coming from a family with a strong history in the cane farming community in Mackay, Sonia understands the battles of small business and agribusiness. Since 1998 she has dedicated herself to helping her clients achieve their financial goals by providing personalised Financial Planning advice. She takes the time to listen and understand her clients to ensure they are maximising their entitlements and meeting their income needs both now and in the future. She believes that understanding her clients on more than just a financial level provides an excellent foundation to building a long term ongoing relationship. Her experience extends from working with a range of clients including Employees, Professionals, Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs), High Net Worth clients, Agribusiness clients and Retirees.
Throughout her career, having worked in publicly listed companies for eight of those years, she noticed that the focus was more on the shareholders rather than the most important people, the clients. In 2014, she made the decision to establish Pace Financial and this has enabled her to focus on her clients and deliver the highest possible personalised service they deserve.
Whilst working for one of the Big 4 Banks, she was awarded the Christo Award recognising her commitment, honesty and positivity with her clients and colleagues as well as being ranked in the top 20 Financial Planners in Australia. Her education includes obtaining a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), achieving Self Managed Superannuation Funds, Margin Lending and Geared Investments and ASX Listed Products Accreditations as well as being accepted as an Associate Financial Planner (AFP) of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
